We
accept submissions in essays, poetry, fiction, travel writing,
and art that concern environmental or place-based subject matter.
All submissions must be the work of currently enrolled, undergraduate
students. We will only read submissions sent between September
1st and April 30th. We will try to respond as promptly as
possible. All submissions must be sent as Word attachments; we
do not read submissions sent by mail. Please avoid the .rtf (rich
text format) as macro viruses tend to lurk in this format. Artwork
may be submitted as .jpeg or similar attachments. All submissions
must have all of your contact information (name, address, phone
number, email address, and school name and enrollment year) as
well as a short (2-3 sentence) bio paragraph. Please provide these
at the top of the attached document as well as on the email letter
it is attached to.
All
submissions can be sent to: frenchcreekjournal@allegheny.edu
Regarding rights: It is expected that any work accepted
for publication in French Creek has never been published
before. If an acceptance letter is sent to the author, then
he or she agrees to our terms, which are: French Creek
gets exclusive first-time on-line/electronic rights. After we
publish, all rights (cyber, print, audio, or any other media)
belong to the author. If the work/s should be published in the
future, we ask only for a credit line that reads: "First
published in French Creek Issue __."

more information, please send inquiries to: frenchcreekjournal@allegheny.edu
